PixelTruth is a free, browser-based tool provided by RUNTIMEZERO as part of the RuntimeHub suite of web utilities. We build tools that run entirely on the client side, keeping your data private by design. PixelTruth is provided at no charge as a public utility.
2. The Service
PixelTruth analyzes images you provide locally in your browser to estimate whether they are real photographs or AI-generated synthetic images. All processing occurs on your own device. PixelTruth does not upload, store, transmit, or process your images on any external server. No image data, pixel data, or metadata is collected by RUNTIMEZERO at any point.
3. Accuracy and Limitations
PixelTruth produces probability estimates, not definitive verdicts. The output is advisory in nature and should not be treated as factual confirmation that an image is or is not AI-generated. You acknowledge that:
- No automated detection system achieves 100% accuracy.
- Heavily compressed, resized, or post-processed images may yield less reliable results.
- Adversarial techniques exist that may cause some AI-generated images to evade detection.
- Some real photographs (heavily stylized or digitally edited) may score as probable AI.
- You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the tool's output.
4. Permitted Use
You may use PixelTruth for lawful, personal, professional, or research purposes, including verifying images on social media, due-diligence checks, academic exploration, and integration into personal or internal workflows where the advisory nature of the output is understood.
5. Prohibited Use
You must not use PixelTruth to:
- Harass, defame, or harm any individual based on tool output.
- Present PixelTruth's output as legally definitive proof without appropriate expert qualification.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the detection system for adversarial purposes.
- Automate bulk requests that degrade service availability for other users.
- Use the tool in connection with fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities.
6. Intellectual Property
The PixelTruth interface, design system, and source code are the property of RUNTIMEZERO. The underlying detection model is sourced from publicly available open-weight research and is used in accordance with its respective license. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the tool's source code or design without written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
PixelTruth is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. RUNTIMEZERO makes no warranty that the tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that detection results will be accurate. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RUNTIMEZERO and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on PixelTruth.
9. Advertising
PixelTruth is funded through contextual advertising via Google AdSense. Ads are served by Google and subject to Google's own privacy and data policies. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers, and ads do not affect the tool's analysis or results in any way.

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes take effect upon publication. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
