Your images never leave your device. PixelTruth processes everything locally in your browser, with no image uploads and no server-side analysis.
The Short Version
We do not collect, store, analyze, or share your image data in any form. PixelTruth runs locally, and we do not have servers that receive your images.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of PixelTruth, accessible at pixeltruth.runtime-hub.com. It is operated by RUNTIMEZERO, the developer behind RuntimeHub. This policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian data protection law.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
The following data is explicitly not collected by PixelTruth:
- Images you analyze — processed entirely in your browser, never transmitted.
- Pixel data, image metadata (EXIF, IPTC), or file names.
- Detection results or scores.
- Account information — PixelTruth has no accounts.
- Device fingerprints or biometric data.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
PixelTruth uses your browser's localStorage solely to store a single usage counter — the number of images analyzed on this device. This is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
The detection model (~22 MB) is cached in your browser's IndexedDB after the first visit to avoid re-downloading on subsequent visits. This is standard browser behavior and does not involve sending data to us.
4. Cookies
PixelTruth itself does not set any cookies. Google AdSense, which we use to display advertising, may set cookies for ad personalization purposes in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. You can manage ad personalization at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy. If you are located in the EU/EEA, Google will request your consent before serving personalized ads.
5. Advertising
PixelTruth is funded by contextual advertising served by Google AdSense. As the publisher, we have no access to your individual advertising profile. Ad revenue helps us maintain this and other free RuntimeHub tools. We have configured AdSense to respect EU consent requirements under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where applicable.
6. Third-Party Services
PixelTruth loads the following external resources:
- Google Fonts — typography. Google may log the font request as part of normal CDN operation.
- jsDelivr CDN — delivers the ONNX Runtime WebAssembly library. jsDelivr may log standard CDN access data.
- Hugging Face — the detection model is fetched directly from the Hugging Face model hub on first use. Subsequent loads use your browser's IndexedDB cache and make no network request.
We do not control the data practices of these third-party CDN providers. All operate under their own published privacy policies.
7. Children's Privacy
PixelTruth is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
Because we do not collect personal data about you, most GDPR data subject rights are satisfied by default — there is simply no data about you held by us. If you have concerns about data processed by third-party services (Google, jsDelivr, Hugging Face), contact those services directly.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) or the data protection authority in your EU member state.
9. Data Security
Because PixelTruth does not transmit or store your image data, there is no central database that could be breached. The local analysis architecture is itself the primary security measure. The site is served over HTTPS exclusively.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the tool's functionality or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
